How Much Is a $100 US Gift Card in Naira?

How to identify a $100 US gift card before converting it to Naira

A $100 US gift card does not have one universal Naira value. “US” identifies the market and usually the currency, but it does not identify the brand. A $100 Apple card, Steam card, Razer Gold card, Google Play card and Amazon card can have different Nigerian resale estimates.

Start by naming the exact brand and card format. The live modules below read the newest available GiftCardsRate table for each matching card. They are dated market references—not issuer exchange rates, bank USD/NGN conversions or guaranteed buyer payouts.

How much is a $100 US gift card in Naira right now?

The correct answer is the current $100 estimate for your specific brand. Use the table to choose the right card, then read its live result below. Do not take the highest number and apply it to a different brand.

Card you have Correct US rate page Detail to confirm
$100 Apple Gift Card US Apple rate Physical card or e-code
$100 Steam Gift Card US Steam rate USD card and Steam product type
$100 Razer Gold Gift Card US Razer Gold rate Razer Gold, not another Razer product
$100 Google Play Gift Card US Google Play rate US country and USD currency
$100 Amazon Gift Card US Amazon rate Amazon.com US card and card format

If your card is another brand, open the gift card to Naira calculator and select that exact brand, the United States market, $100 amount and the correct format.

No current calculable quote for this face value and route.

Freshness check: read the update date inside each result. Different brand tables can be updated on different days. If a result is older than you are comfortable using, request a current quote instead of describing it as today’s final value.

Why five $100 US cards can produce five different estimates

The face value tells you how much the card can buy inside its issuer’s ecosystem. It does not promise the same cash value in Nigeria. Secondary-market estimates can differ because buyers have different demand, verification processes and uses for each brand.

Input Why it changes the estimate What to show a buyer
Brand Each issuer has a separate market and use case. The full card name, not “US card”
Country and currency A US $100 card is not the same product as C$100 or A$100. Retailer country, currency and receipt country
Format Physical cards and e-codes can have different verification requirements. State physical, e-code or email delivery
Proof A clear receipt or original purchase email may affect eligibility and confidence. Redacted proof that keeps the code private
Data date Demand and available buyers change over time. The date attached to the rate or quote

That is why an ordinary USD/NGN bank conversion is the wrong shortcut. Gift card resale is a product-specific secondary market. The GiftCardsRate methodology explains how matching rows, dates and formats are used.

Identify your $100 US gift card in 60 seconds

  1. Read the brand. Write “$100 US Apple Gift Card” or “$100 US Steam Gift Card,” not only “$100 US gift card.”
  2. Confirm the country. Check the retailer, receipt or purchase email. A dollar sign alone does not prove the card is from the United States.
  3. Confirm the currency. Make sure the amount is USD 100, not CAD 100, AUD 100 or another dollar currency.
  4. Name the format. State whether it is a physical card, e-code or digital delivery email.
  5. Check the date. Use the newest matching result and confirm how long a buyer’s quote remains valid.

I have a $100 US [brand] gift card in USD. It is [physical/e-code], and I have [receipt/original email] if required.

If you cannot complete that sentence, do not rely on a precise Naira figure yet. The broader guide to calculating a gift card rate in Naira explains how to compare per-unit rates and total buyer offers.

Why issuer region rules matter to your rate check

Issuer rules are not resale prices, but they help confirm that country and product identity matter.

  • Apple: Apple’s US gift card terms say US-purchased cards can only be linked to a US account and used for US purchases. Check Apple’s official gift card terms.
  • Google Play: Google says Play gift cards may only be redeemed and used in the country and currency where they were purchased, and the Play account region must match. See Google Play’s official restrictions.
  • Steam: Steam says Wallet codes are converted to the currency of the user’s Steam Wallet when redeemed. Do not read that as universal eligibility: Steam also says some countries can have restrictions on sending or receiving digital gift cards, and a Wallet code cannot be used to change an account’s store country. Check the account and region before relying on a quote. See the official Steam Wallet code page, Steam’s digital gift card FAQ and Steam’s store-country guide.

These rules differ by issuer. Never assume one brand’s regional policy applies to another brand, and do not redeem a card merely to test its Naira value—the balance may become attached to the account.

How to calculate the estimate without inventing a price

When the matching table provides a per-dollar rate, the calculation is:

USD 100 × the newest matching Naira-per-USD gift card rate = estimated Naira value

The arithmetic is simple; choosing the matching row is the important part. If the table or buyer uses amount tiers, use the $100 tier instead of multiplying a small-card rate. If the buyer gives only a total, divide that total by 100 to see the implied per-dollar rate before comparing offers.

Keep three labels beside any figure: the brand, the card format and the date. A number copied without those labels can look current and universal when it is neither.

Protect the code while asking for a rate

You can describe the card and request eligibility requirements without posting the full redemption code, PIN, barcode or serial number in public. Share only redacted proof until you have chosen a trusted transaction process and understand when payment is released.

The US Federal Trade Commission—which applies to US consumers but offers safety principles that are useful globally—warns that anyone demanding gift cards as payment is running a scam. Its gift card scam guidance explains common warning signs, and the FTC also provides a printable gift card scam warning PDF. A gift card code should not be used to pay a stranger’s fee, debt, emergency or government demand.

Frequently asked questions

Is every $100 US gift card worth the same amount in Naira?

No. “US” is a market label, not a brand. Apple, Steam, Razer Gold, Google Play, Amazon and other cards can have different resale estimates even when each has a $100 face value.

What is the best way to get the current answer?

Identify the brand, US market, USD currency and card format, then use the matching live module or calculator. Read its date and confirm the final payout and any deductions with the buyer.

Can I use the normal USD to Naira exchange rate?

No. A gift card resale estimate is not a bank foreign-exchange conversion. It reflects the secondary market for that brand, region, amount and format.

Does a receipt guarantee a higher rate?

No. A receipt or original purchase email may help verify the source, amount and country, but it does not guarantee acceptance, a premium or a particular payout.

Should I send the full code to several buyers to compare rates?

No. Compare eligibility, rate units, deductions and payout terms before exposing a code. Treat the full code like cash and avoid posting it in public chats or sending it to multiple unknown parties.

Bottom line

If someone asks, “How much is a $100 US gift card in Naira?”, the honest first answer is: which brand and which format? Once those details are known, use the matching dated module above or the site calculator. That produces a defensible estimate without pretending every US gift card has one price.
