Current quotes come from reviewed snapshots of the Tbay public calculator. Collection time describes when the snapshot was captured, not when every underlying offer last changed. Prices are the final reviewed NGN unit rates.

Matching comes first

Brand, issuing country, original currency, card form, face value and every transaction condition identify a tier. A fixed face-value list takes precedence over the numerical range and step. Otherwise, the face value must fit the range and be a multiple of the stated step. Unknown or ambiguous conditions require manual confirmation.

Automatic matching

After matching card form, layout, processing speed and other conditions, eligible fixed face-value tiers take priority over ranges. Otherwise, the narrowest eligible range takes priority. Equal-priority matches require manual confirmation; the highest price is never selected merely because it is higher. This is GiftCardsRate’s matching policy, separate from the source quote data.

The calculation

Amount × final unit rate × number of cards. Calculations use decimal arithmetic and round the final total once, half-up, to two NGN decimal places. The source conversion factor is not applied again.

Reference conversions

The reference calculator accepts positive amounts without a confirmation checkbox. It uses an eligible tier when one matches; otherwise it uses the nearest available tier for the same country, currency and card details. Equally ranked reference tiers use the lower unit rate. Amount ranges, steps, fixed denominations and single-card limits remain visible as source conditions, but do not block reference arithmetic. A reference conversion does not make an amount eligible for a transaction. The separate transaction-quote interface retains strict matching.

Ranges and availability

A range on a summary card spans different tiers; it is not a price offered for every card. Choose the matching country and card details before estimating. If a route has no quote in the active batch, no current estimate is supplied.

Historical records

Previous reference prices retain their original dates. Missing dates from 13 September 2026 through the latest collection use clearly labelled display estimates: daily reference bounds are linearly interpolated between dated prices, or carried forward from the last available price when there is no later one. Bounds can span different conditions or pricing systems; estimated rows are not matched-tier quotes, trades or inputs to the calculator. Actual price changes compare only the same complete set of conditions. Removed tiers remain unavailable.

What an estimate means

GiftCardsRate provides information and arithmetic estimates. It does not receive card codes, verify balances, execute trades or guarantee payouts. Final provider offers, fees and checks may differ.
